Library Advisory Committee
It is the policy of the Hazy Library and Learning Center to seek and facilitate student and faculty involvement in evaluating and assessing Library services and collections to ensure effective support for academic programs and for teaching and learning outcomes.
The Library Advisory Committee is comprised of at least two faculty members from each academic college, one representative of the Student Government Association, a graduate student, a library student employee, and librarians.
LAC members are charged to:
- Promote and enhance the effectiveness of the Hazy Library by making pertinent recommendations to the Library Director.
- Serve as a bridge between the Prescott campus learning community and the Hazy Library in meeting the interests and needs of faculty, students, and staff, enhancing services, and strengthening academic programs.
- Enhance the role of the Hazy Library in the Prescott campus community by interfacing with academic departments and campus committees.
- Recommend new materials for inclusion in the Library collection for curriculum support.
